Inspired by Coco

camisole-$1, shorts-$2 and belt-$3: thrift
handbag: Wilson Leather $25 ($80 regular price), bag of studs for bottom $15
In the car on the way to dinner....
BEFORE
AFTER

Ever since I saw MK with the A. Wang Coco duffel, I fell in love. I ordered these spikes from studsandspikes.com. I found this bag on sale at Wilson Leather. I had to cut the liner of the purse in order to apply the studs. I used an exact-al knife and pliers for the application. First, pushed the prongs of the studs to make an imprint in the leather and then I made two small incisions with the exact-al knife. I then inserted the stud and flipped the purse inside out and bend down the prongs with flat nose pliers. I actually just eyed the placement. I started it Saturday and told myself that I was only going to do a couple rows at a time and ended up finishing it that night. I took a lot of breaks because it can get tedious. I also cut the buckle straps shorter and used some outdoor black paint on the little silver brand name. When I was done, I just sewed the liner back up.

As for the DIY shoes on the last post, I used black outdoor paint because it is waterproof and works well on multiple surfaces. I chose to paint it on with a paint brush as opposed to spray paint. I used 3M Maximum adhesive glue for the straps. I applied glue to the strap and the suede sole of the shoe and pressed it together. I let it dry for 24 hours before I tried them on.
