DIY: illusion dress

Last weekend I found this simple black dress while thrift shopping for $5. First, I measured two inches from the side seam and made marks. Then I carefully taped along the line, all I had was packing tape and it worked just fine. I mixed turquoise, lime and white fabric paint to get the seafoam green color. Let dry and removed the tape. I think I might wear it tonight, not sure yet...

  10. Well I'm super glad you commented on my blog the other day so I could stop by and say, "Hi, I happen to love your blog, and I'm your newest follower!" Such great ideas you have! One question for ya... how does this fabric paint hold up after a few washes? And, did it make your dress stiff at all? I've never used the stuff but am contemplating... Thanks dear!
